Raised in New Jersey, Mr Nicholas Bredimus merged the spheres of airlines, software, and hospitality and energized all three areas of business. He has done everything from the creation of time-saving computer programs to advancing aircraft safety and designing high value homes. And whatever his attention settles on, he will commit his full drive to it. Glancing at Nicholas Bredimus‘ pedigree you can easily tell he was certain to rise to greatness. Its lines can be followed as far back as the days of Rome, in fact Bredimus’ provenience has associations with a great many nations within Europe. On his mother’s side, on the one hand, he can boast Scottish and German origins. Luxembourg and England are the origin for his father’s family, although during the 1800s his family came to America. After arrival in the U.S., the family continued to persevere and rise up the social ladder. Nicholas, as well as his siblings, was born to a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and his wife, a practicing nurse. He settled for a time in Texas, Arizona, Kansas City and a place called Reston in Virginia. So what did he do to capitalize on his heritage and schooling? A string of high powered roles were soon his, all working with distinguished airlines. Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines - these businesses would all at various times appoint him VP. Most prominent, however, was his achievement as a gifted programmer for the airline industry.
His insight into aircraft maintenance software, typical now throughout the airline business though originally coded for US Airways, ultimately resulted in what is even now his most famous achievement. He turned his creativity next to recording and making reservations. For both hotels and air travel he produced software systems to handle the bulk of the work that had been involved before automation. He went on to design an industry specific system called QuikTix, the first automated ticket sales network. He employed these achievements to advance into positions unconnected to software development. Key jobs with American Airlines and American Express followed, and as you may know he started up a company of his own seventeen years ago.
Today he has withdrawn from Northwest Airlines and from coding, but he’s still making use of his abilities. He’s at work now advancing building design - matching the needs of luxury with real environmental concern.
