For our diet and, indeed, in every aspect of our lives, we must remember to relax from the demands of the unrealistic ideal. For those trying to lose weight, you cannot be the Barbie. For those lifting weights, you cannot be the Governor of California. Accepting this principle first, can give you the peace of mind to love what you do have, lower frustration, and actually make weight loss easier in the long run!
A few years ago while driving to the drugstore I watched a family walk across the street. There was a woman who appeared to be in her 70’s with a thick mass of black hair flowing down her back. Next to her was another woman 40ish with a thick mass of black hair flowing down her back. And walking with them, a teen with a thick mass of black hair flowing down her back, and alongside her was a girl about six years old with a thick mass of black hair flowing down her back.
The teen was pushing a pram. I craned my neck and observed a tiny baby tucked inside - no there was no flowing mass of black hair. But I could see little black tufts starting up and I was willing to bet what that would look like in the future.
I drove on to the drugstore feeling a bit gloomy. When I got to the store, I saw rows of hair beautification products. Products to pump up the volume, smooth, curl, add bounce. I had tried many of them in the past with maybe some improvement but not much. What I really needed was more hair. If any of those ladies walking would give me just a little bit of their hair I would really benefit and I doubt if they would miss it. I have baby fine blond hair. The kind that wilts in the heat, hangs limply in the rain and loses its style quickly.
Later that week, I happened to catch the talk show Maury. Women were on the show complaining about their hair. One young African American lady caught my attention. About 14 years old, she had wiry black hair. It sprouted out from her head and went all over the place. She cried as she told Maury that she had not had a comb in her hair in years because it got all tangled. I was shocked as she told Maury that insects landed in her hair and stayed there. And I thought I had problem hair.
After watching the show, I started thinking about my hair and instead of viewing it as a problem I decided to focus on the assets. Ok my hair was very fine … but that meant a couple minutes with the blow dryer was all it took to dry it. My hair grew very slowly … but that meant I saved money when I got highlights because it took them forever to grow out. Also I would never have to pay for an “UPDO” because there was not enough hair to do up!
I thought about my struggle to have long hair. My dream hair was a long, shiny mane. I had given that idea up long ago and decided to settle for a chin length bob. But that wasn’t working out either. My hair looked flat and drab.
It was the same with my fingernails. I wanted medium length nails but nail products and calcium weren’t producing results. Right then and there I decided to ACCEPT what I had and work with it to make life SIMPLE and ENJOYABLE. Instead of fighting my genetic code I would work with it.
Next stop the hairdresser. I had my hair cut off to a very simple bob that hit just below the ear. On “good hair days” I could wear it over the ear. And on bad ones or when I got caught in the rain, I could slick it back behind the ear. Highlights to give it body and more shine were added and I purchased products that while they don’t work miracles they were suitable for my hair.
Next I threw out all my nail hardeners. They might work for other people but they weren’t working for me. I filed my nails down to a simple, blunt length. I purchased a very good file and a chamois buffer. If I paint them I will use clear or a pale pink. But usually they are just buffed to a healthy glow. No more struggle with the nails. Wow!
It’s amazing how good it feels and how much simpler our lives become when we accept what we have and work it to our advantage. Think about what you have, that you struggle to change. Is it something you can change or is it something that you can’t. Life is so much easier when you work with what you have.
Indeed, no one is going to mistake me for the Breck Girl or the lady in the Herbal Essence Shampoo commercial. But that’s ok because I enjoy my hair and nails now and that’s what matters!

Child abuse is a much more common event, than is usually expressed in public. I recently attended an event, where people were asked to discuss their darkest secrets. Out of the thirty or so women in the room, nearly two thirds expressed their darkest secret as, being about child abuse and two had had terminations, created by a family member.
I say this to point out that it is quite a common event, but this does not belittle the effect it can have emotionally and on relationships for years following. In a way it is the fact that we burry these events in our subconscious and they only resurface when curtain trigger are pressed.
These triggers can be seen when we start to become closer to a partner we like. Because we often also love the family member we end up with mixed emotions regarding the incident.
I feel the time is right now to allow these feeling to come back to the surface of our mind and start to resolve the issues around sexual abuse.
We cannot change our past or what has happened in our life. We also cannot change other people; we can only really work on ourselves; our reaction to what has happened in our life.
What I would first suggest is to embrace our dark side and the events that have happened. Come from the heart and be fully present in the now. The moment of Now is all that exists the post is just a memory and the future has not been created yet.
If you find that you have repeating thought pattern in your life that make you sad - change your mind about them. In the now moment when you find one of these repeating thoughts coming up, change your mind, it may be a belief you hold that has been given to you by your parents. Question that belief now and see if it is still serving you.
When you are in the now moment all possibilities are open to your thinking you can make life up however you like. Just as a way of an experiment, bring to mind one thought about your childhood that has been troubling you for year.
Look at it closely and see what belief you are applying to that situation and what judgement you have made. Can you know for certain that these facts are true? Or are you coming from False Evidence Appearing Real - FEAR.
Fear can only exist when we are remembering the past or projecting into the future, it cannot exist in the now moment. Why? Because in the Now moment we are coming from Love; our thoughts and feeling are coming from our heart and radiating outwards and our hearts are full of love. Fear and love are two opposites that cannot occupy the same space.
So when the past comes to haunt you look it straight in the face and ask yourself how you want to react to this memory. Check if your reaction is coming from love from your heart. Ask yourself in the moment, what you would love to create and believe? Whether you are coming from fear from past beliefs and understandings that are no longer real for you?
In that moment, embrace it all, love it all and choose a positive constructive outcome that will serve you and those around you. Release the past and let the stale negative energy be grounded into the earth beneath your feet. Move forward into the grandest, greatest vision of who you would like to be and step into that. Hold your head up high knowing that you have faced your deepest fear and proved to yourself that it had no substance to it.
Use your mind to dream a bright new future for yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back and love yourself, for who you are now in this moment. Overflowing with love and gratitude to yourself, embrace that vision of who you are today. Start to take care of yourself in new ways.
With respect and gratitude to you.

In the likely case that you don’t know about gambling saloon gaming, then please read on…
Generally speaking a betting room is a building that organizes card playing. At such a place, visitors may relax by operating slot-machines or some other pastimes. Gaming establishment games most often have mathematically determined odds informing them that make sure the gaming organization secures dominion above the clients.
A legion of betting house games encourage you to get overly dependent very swiftly. Let’s meditate on the classic slotmachine, a coin hungry spin box with 3 or more reels which pivot when a knob on its flank is tugged. The instrument in the main pays based on a sequence of pictures observable on the panel of the gadget. Sadly, gaming hall games suggest the illusion of having the upper hand, conning the gaming devotee: the addressee is presented choices, but these do not truly remove the customer’s long term disadvantage. That is precipitated by the gambling saloongambling house never refunding the entire wager as hoped for. This structure is repeatedly noticeable in acclaimed casino games such as five card stud, dice games, roulette or blackjack. Five card stud is certainly an immensely fashionable casino game. The players, religiously guarding their partially hidden cards, bet into a pot in the center which is then awarded to the winning punter owning the highest combination of cards. (As everybody knows, the coolest bluffing hand may well prevail as well!)
casino avec bonus sans depot
Like seven-card stud poker, blackjack too is an immensely fashionable casino pastime. A lavish amount of its notoriety is due to the mix of chance and proficiency and decision making, as well as a trick named card counting. It is a craft by which visitors can change the probabilities of the game to establish the upper hand both by betting and fundamental opetations in accordance with the cards dealt.
“Craps” is a famous pastime based on the throw of two dice. Gamers risk their stakes on the outcome of of 1 spin, or on a series of cycles on 2 dice. Contrary to blackjack, there is no practicable winning strategy people could make use of to bend the odds.
Roulette is an extremely popular casino based gambling pastime: a croupier twists a roulette wheel which encloses thirty seven (as applicable to classical roulette) or thirty eight (in the case of American roulette) distinctively numbered chambers in which a white ball must settle, which is the winner If a player has put money on any given number and wins, in other words it’s their lucky day, the guaranteed benefit is going to be thirty five to one, the original pledge proper will be paid back. Therefore in total it is increased by 36.
Attempt to be very guarded notwithstanding because all of these gambling house games of chance are indisputably addiction forming. Many lives have regrettably been wasted thru addictive gambling & even if it seems like a lot of fun, work to restrain yourself.

One of the most successful businessmen of his time Peter Sutherland believes there has never been a more perfect time to welcome back to the agenda the divisive topic of joining the Euro. When the case was looked into historically and, with the publication of the Treasury’s Report on the Five Tests, effectively terminated, it made more sense not to join. One wouldn’t be wrong in saying that the case is far from as clear cut perhaps decisively so. A increasing amount of critical factors have changed. As it is ever popular to quote Keynes, it is worth bearing in mind the reproof he directed at someone who criticised the arguable inconstancy of the views he expressed: “When the facts change I change my mind. What do you do?” Primarily and perhaps most importantly when the case for the Euro was last went over, British citizens could be excused for following the classic Americans saying “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
This well-founded attitude was based on a long period of of GDP per capita increasing and moderate inflation. It was reflected in a long run of predominantly negative answers to the question, as asked by polling organizations, “if there were a referendum on joining the Euro would you answer Yes or No to the question ‘Should Britain join the Euro?’ Few would agree this American adage is appropriate today. Attitudes towards joining the Euro seem like they are definitely changing.
An integral part in the long run of prosperity was undoubtedly the high value of the exchange rate of the pound against the Euro (and other currencies). Once again, things have changed. Where the exchange rate was arguably too high before, now it is debatably too low. It was tricky to recommend committing to the Euro at the rates which were common in the late ’90s through to 2007 and it would be wise to await some appreciation before locking in now - but that some fall in the exchange rate can be welcomed is hardly beyond dispute. Still, while we are on the subject of the exchange rate, it is not just banter about whether the rate is right or not at a particular time that should be important. Instead of that, the lesson that might be learnt is that the behavior of the exchange rate in recent times gives little ground for optimism about its role as a stabilizer when Britain’s exchange rate is floating. It’s true to say that there have been a number of studies which seem to show that the exchange rate may, for many countries, be as much of a detriment to the economy as it is something which stabilizes it.

There are some new bankruptcy laws going into effect before long and many think they are much needed. Of course, that depends on which side of the bankruptcy you are a part of. Creditors are going to be the ones to benefit from the new laws, but there may be some helpful regulations for those filing for bankruptcy as well.
The new bankruptcy code requires certain filing procedures that do seem beneficial for the consumer. For instance under the new bankruptcy code, a consumer is required to take a financial counseling course within the 6 months prior to filing for bankruptcy. Financial counseling may lend to a person deciding that bankruptcy is not actually the best option for them. Most people don’t even take this step before heading straight for the bankruptcy lawyer. This requirement may save many consumers from making a rash decision.
If your current monthly income is more than the median in your state then there are other factors to consider before you can file for bankruptcy. By multiplying your current monthly income, minus expenses, by 60, you get what is referred to as the result. If the result is less than $6000 or 25% or less of your unsecured debt amount, then you can file for chapter 7 bankruptcy. If it is 25% or more of your unsecured debt, or $10,000 or more, then you are required to file for chapter 13 bankruptcy.
A financial management course is required after you have filed for bankruptcy and prior to the bankruptcy discharge. There are financial management tools that can help you to avoid landing yourself in bankruptcy court a second time.
Obviously, bankruptcy reform is intended to cut down on the number of bankruptcies. This is a realistic goal when you put these factors into play. It may not make for very happy consumers, but the creditors are certainly going to be in a much better position.

Credit cards can be great if you know how to use them. Many people use them
for large purchases or as safety nets in case something ever happens to them or
their job. However, many Americans abuse credit cards. They use them for what
they want now, regardless of the consequences later. Then the bills start coming
in, and between rent, bills, and credit cards, it is almost impossible to meet
minimum payments. This is where debt consolidation comes in.
What is Debt Consolidation?
Debt consolidation is bundling several debts into one loan payment. This can be
done in many different ways. Often, a debt consolidation company will give a
borrower a loan to pay off all of their credit cards, and then they pay that
loan at a lower interest rate. Borrowers can also open a larger credit card with
a lower interest rate and transfer the balances of their cards to that card.
Another option is to take out an equity loan against the borrower’s house in
order to pay off their bills.
Where to Get Debt Consolidation
Borrowers can find debt consolidation in many different places, but the best
place to look is probably the internet. There are hundreds of choices for debt
consolidation online; many also offer credit counseling and other services.
Another option is non-profit debt consolidation which often offers lower rates
and better service. Banks don’t typically offer debt consolidation, but they
will offer equity loans if you have a home.
Dangers of Debt Consolidation
Perhaps the most dangerous part of debt consolidation is staying out of debt.
Although consolidation offers a relief, it does not permanently fix the problem.
Studies have shown that borrowers who have paid off their debt load have often
ended up in the same amount, if not more, debt within two years. When a borrower
takes a debt consolidation loan and pays off all their credit cards, a number of
them keep those cards open. Then they start charging on them again, putting them
back in the same situation.

Consolidating Student Loans Can Boost your Credit Score
Most students take out numerous loans for college, each with its own interest rate and its own monthly amount. The plethora of different loan sources is a great benefit in terms of paying for college, but when it comes to credit rating, this long list of outstanding loans can put a serious damper on your overall score.
By consolidating student loans, your credit report will show one combined loan, usually with a much lower overall payment, which equates to a more favorable credit rating. By consolidating student loans, you most likely also benefit from a much lower payment, thus lowering your debt to income ratio.
Consolidating Student Loans Reduces Debt to Income Ratio and Increases Buying Power
Having a low debt to income ratio, or the monthly amount owed compared to the amount earned, makes an incredible impact on the amount of money you’ll be able to borrow and afford for a first home or reliable transportation.
The total amount of household debt in the US last year was more than 100% of disposable income. Rising education costs have created a vicious cycle for today’s graduating students. As your debt to income ratio rises, so do the interest rates of each new loan. Keeping this ratio low by reducing your monthly bills can literally save you tens of thousands of dollars over a lifetime.
Consolidating Student Loans Reduces Dependence on Credit Cards
Having lower bills in the years following college means less reliance on high interest credit cards and other loans. The average college student carries a whopping 6 credit cards with a total balance over $2100.
This means that the $100 credit card purchase for new work attire could cost more than $200 over the 12 months it takes to pay the full balance. Fortunately, smart financial planning, including consolidating education loans, can help students and young professionals live a life free of high interest debts.
By Consolidating Student Loans, You are Locked into Today’s Low Fixed Rates
Just because interest rates are low today doesn’t mean they will stay that way. In fact rates over the last several years are lower than they’ve ever been in recent history. It’s amazing how much a small percentage point can save or cost on a college education bill over the course of a loan repayment.
The Federal Consolidation Loan allows you to lock into today’s low interest rates when consolidating student loans. Consolidation loans usually have a longer repayment period and a lower monthly payment than is available on the underlying education loans.
By Consolidating Student Loans, you can Receive Additional Interest Rate Discounts
Companies that specialize in consolidating student loans like ScholarPoint.com offer additional consolidation benefits such as auto payments, and consecutive payments.
- Auto Payments: Receive a reduction in your interest rate for making your payments automatically from your bank account when you consolidate your student loans.
- Consecutive Payments: Some student loan consolidation companies give you the opportunity to reduce your repayment interest rate up to one full percentage point by simply making payments on time.
- No Interest Deferral: Take advantage of the flexibility of student loans by deferring loans during qualified times. While enrolled in graduate school, serving in the military, or volunteering with the Peace Corps, you can not only defer payments, but stop interest from accruing as well.
- Grace Period: Consolidating during your grace period allows you to lock in a rate that is often much lower than the standard repayment rate.

I’ve been to 64-countries, and yes money comes in handy, and goes quickly (and is useful and has its influence), I’ve had a ton of it at one time or another and an ounce of faith, and I’ll take faith any daywhy? I’ll explain. Anybody who has been in a combated zone, under fire will tell you: ‘…keep the money, I need faith right now.’ In a like manner, when I was in the hospital, had a stroke that paralyzed me, a heart attack also, and bypass surgery, they said I was a Fruitcake. But three days later I got out of bed, and when I did, for three weeks they called me “The miracle of the ward.” Even the atheist doctors were spellbound. Money walked away, as faith took over.
There was a doctor standing at the end of my bed, for three days. I remember him as I’d wake up, look at him, look at the clock, it was 5:00 AM, couldn’t dial a phone I was so bad. Then I fell back to sleep. And when I got better I asked who that doctor was. The nurse said, there was no doctor, he comes a noon and with two nurses. I thought about that for a moment, and said, “…no, it was a large man with a long white jacket, broad shoulders.” She commented, “…have you seen him since?” And I had not. Then she told my doctor’s name, and I checked out his picture and it wasn’t him.
Seeing is believes, and I didn’t make this up, nor am I responsible for the invisible world either; so I can’t blame anyone, but facts are facts. Does a blind man believe there is a moon, I’d think so. All the doctors and medicine in the world did not bring me back to reality. Anyhow, the same goes for battle. I saw things in Vietnam that cannot be explained by the physical moon and sun beaming down on us; because it is not of this physical world: simple as that; and so much for that.
Most of the people that say God doesn’t exist are simply expressing a cheap way out of acknowledging the obvious. I mean, who made the moon and sun; if by accident, it is the biggest accident in all creation. It is like me saying one day I woke up and there was New York City, all built to please my eyes. Now you know someone built it. Who?
Not having a heaven or hell is most convenient for a sinner, and then you can sin and not worry about it. Like Plato commented: most people would go next door and rape his neighbor’s wife, knowing there is no consequence.
