The times where gaming notebooks were a niche market are disappearing extremely rapidly. As I recall they were not actually the best selling laptops but being more significantly costly they were the best cash making products. These were the kind of laptops desired by everyone but the cost was just too big. They were basically desktop computer replacements and the quickest, best laptop computer you could acquire. As badly as I wanted one I could not afford to buy laptop computers like them. Things seem set to shift though because now the gaming laptops niche has attracted the eye of larger brands.
These notebook computers have a particular price range and these manufacturers are aware they don’t have to be price competitive here. Markup has been so slim lately that this is a good opportunity to get more money by selling computers. Companies of that class are aware they can sway customers to buy laptop computers at ridiculous providing they represent it well. In my view this could seriously ruin littler companies if they don’t separate their unique proposition. I’m pretty sure that the well known manufacturers will try to force the small ones out. In my point of view if anyone’s decided to pay a lot of money the brand name always comes out on top.
The laptops are surprisingly very good indeed. I think that small system builders could still have an opportunity. This is a gigantic selling point that must be mentioned. This kind of purchaser is normally well versed in the technical details and is able to compare the specifications. For this kind of niche, the tech specs are typically more important ahead of the design.
Certainly from the gaming communities view, its a good situation. In the end, the prices will be lowered even greater making the latest technology to be an option that we will all be able to buy. Who can predict what will happen. I’m actually not sure anymore. I think technology is getting increasingly better but the new laptop computers will usually be expensive. Since the established brand companies have already begun pushing gaming laptop computers, I suppose we’ll have to wait to witness what occurs.

A technology that was originally developed for the military during World War II, and has now encompassed all walks of life by making its foray into retail, medical, education, automotives, fast food, travel industry, and so on, is RFID or Radio Frequency Identification.
RFID is basically one of the automatic identification systems like bar codes, smart cards, etc. which helps machines in identifying objects. It consists of a transponder or a tag which has an embedded integrated circuit and an antenna. The IC is encrypted with a unique electronic product code. The antenna allows the tag to receive and respond to radio frequency queries from an RFID transceiver. It thus, transmits the data stored in its IC to the receiver which in turn sends it to a central computer for processing.
New uses of RFID are being discovered every day. Using them in libraries is just one among them. Currently, approximately 120 million media and books in about 500 libraries worldwide are already attached with RFID labels, and this number is still progressing. With the introduction of RFID, the management of libraries is improving drastically. In libraries RFID plays a crucial role in checking the catalogues and allowing the customers to pass by card readers that automatically updates the computer system by synchronizing the ID information on patron’s library card with the book and indicating that the book has been checked out. Thus, it ensures higher degree of accuracy in record keeping which is a very significant aspect of library management.
Moreover, it is expected that the new technology will help in reducing the costs and improve the tracking of library material as it moves in and out of the shelves. Thus, it will enable the library’s staff to catch anyone who tries to take any material out from the library without their consent. Some of the latest RFID products designed specifically for libraries possess some powerful features such as providing real time information on returned and new items, fast sorting and return of popular items, providing self checkout of materials and allowing web based monitoring. In addition to this these systems can even notify the library staff by e-mail when a printer paper is low, and offer customers a choice of either a paper or e-mail receipt at checkout. RFID system will also meet the demand of complex IT and information research inquiries, such as tracing e-books and electronic journals and creating links to digital materials.
However, like any other new technology RFID has its own share of shortcomings. The most common of these drawbacks is its cost. Like most of the new technologies, RFID equipment such as RFID readers and tags are very expensive. Hence, it is financially impractical for the smaller and not so famous libraries to implement it. Moreover, RFID has some security issues attached to it as it violates citizen’s privacy by tracking them and creating a database of their habits and activities.
However, despite all these drawbacks RFID is a very helpful tool for the libraries to streamline their management.

I have decided that it is time to change my life. But the question I have is how to do this. I need to start by changing my eating habits. I know that this is where my biggest issue is. I need to figure out how to crack the fat loss code.
There are so many different techniques that are out there, the question is what is the one that will work the best. I need one that will keep me from feeling hungry.
When I start to feel hungry that is the end of my diet. I just end up eating and eating until I over eat.
I know that I have tried every diet that is on the market today. I have learned one thing, and that is that diet’s do not work. They just do not work. I have never had success with any of them.
So my question is if diets don’t work then how do you lose the weight? That is a great question. I have learned that I need to crack the fat loss code. There has to be some code that is out there that will tell me how to finally break this cycle and lose the extra weight and achieve my goals

Don’t we all believe we know how and what we are?
Except for those difficult moments in life, in which we are confused and might be searching, we really believe we know. We assume we are “as we are”. How often have you heard: “That is the way I am. I can’t change that.”
But we can and we do - consciously or subconsciously we are changing all the time.
What Mark Victor Hansen is saying here is we become what we think about most of the time. If we dwell longer on the problem than the solution, our life can indeed become very difficult. Unfortunately it seems to be what we do on a regular basis.
Let me give you an example:
You have bought a picture and want to hang it up in your living room but you don’t have a drill. Your neighbor has one but when he last asked you if you can lend him a set of wrenches, you had lied to him and said you don’t have any because things seem never to come back fully when you lend them out.
So why should he lend you his drill? “I only need it for 5 Minutes. He really should not mind that, but probably he will. How stupid of him. It is only a drill. I would lend him mine if he only wanted it for a few minutes, who wouldn’t? Ah, but that is typical. When you need something you are left alone. Nobody helps you….” and so on and so on.
A couple of days later, while your new picture is still sitting on the floor, you have thought yourself in a frenzy over the “drill problem”. When your doorbell rings and you see your neighbor standing there with a friendly smile on his face, you freak: “What do you want, you stupid #&*@. I don’t need your bl..dy drill. Leave me alone,” you scream at the poor man who only wanted to invite you to his birthday party.
Not realistic? Look around you and you will see it happening.
Or you think your spouse is having an affair because he comes home later and later and seems to be absent minded and not at all interested in you. You start to wonder what is happening, look for the fault in yourself and get upset, sad or furious. Depending on your character and your personal values you might either lay in bed frustrated waiting for him to finally come home so you can attack him with the poisonous thoughts that has built up in you. Or you could be one of those quiet ones that keeps it all to herself until one day he comes home and you are gone. Or you could become a deductive and search his clothes and briefcase… or you could pester him with questions of his whereabouts and with whom…
I don’t know how you would handle a situation like that. We are all so unique and find different ways to do these things but in all the above scenarios the situation would come to a head because we have THOUGHT OURSELVES into an unbearable situation while our partner might be in a completely different scenario.
What about making an appointment with your spouse to talk about the feelings you have? If you can stay calm during this you might be surprised to find that he is relieved he can finally talk to you about his side of things. He might have problems at work that keep him occupied so many hours and he did not want to worry you. Who knows - there can be all kinds of scenarios that have absolutely nothing to do with you.
“We become what we think about all day long” was said by Napoleon Hill 70 years ago. Even then it was not a new thought. Many philosophers and scientists have come to this conclusion.
But doesn’t this also give us great opportunities? Doesn’t it mean we can be exactly who we want to be? Our thoughts belong to us. They are created in our mind by us - consciously or subconsciously. And here lies the challenge.
Most thoughts bubble up without us even being aware of them. Listen to your thoughts when you can’t sleep at night or before you go to sleep or just after you wake up. Are they all empowering and encouraging? Do they give you solutions or recurrent challenges?
As our thoughts are created by us, shouldn’t we be able to control them and think only the thoughts that bring us to the results we desire? That would be ideal and to a certain extend we can actually do that. All it takes is some practice.
Action:
Look at the last time you wanted to do something different, something new but didn’t dare.
What thoughts, what feelings stopped you?
Why did you not do it or if you did, what made you dare?
What were your feelings?
Where did they come from and where they REAL???
Could you have looked at the situation from another perspective?
What other perspective might your neighbor, spouse, child, colleague have?
If you had had different thoughts and consequently different feelings, what might have changed?
I suggest you take a notebook and write all the answers down so you can come back to it anytime and please remember, we are taking small baby steps here so don’t expect too much.
Thoughts come from feelings and feelings come from ALL the different experiences we have had in the past. We cannot change them overnight but we can change them - on step, one idea, one thought at the time.

Now that you have completed the scoring, we shall take a look at how “fundable” your company is. Before we do, it’s important to realize that this is a snapshot in time. If you are not satisfied with your score, there are plenty of things you can do to improve it. I’ve seen many of my clients make tremendous progress along these dimensions by extending their team, focusing on sales or tweaking their offering.
