“the Mount Everest this year became a political pawn,” he said with some frustration.
The 77-year-old man from Nepal is now the oldest person to have reached the top of Chomolungma or Mount Everest. They basically coerced the Nepali government to not allow any climbers past camp two on the Nepali side. Now that Min Bahadur Sherchan has successfully scaled the tallest mountain in the world, he is once again ready to focus on his family. “The Chinese weren’t allowing anybody on Everest. They ended up commandeering it for themselves, even though Chomolungma is shared by two countries. They flexed their muscles this year all the in name of the Olympic spirit, but it was hardly spirited at all.”
More than 3004 people have climbed to the summit since it was first conquered in 1953 by New Zealander Edmund Hillary, who died in January, and Nepal’s Tenzing Norgay.
Andrew Brash and four climbing guides reached the 29,035-foot (8,850-meters) summit of the world’s highest mountain early Sunday, said Ramesh Chretri, an official with Nepal’s ministry of tourism.
Bahadur Sherchan last attempt resulted in the rescue of Lincoln Hall, an Australian climber who was left by his team in the “death zone.”
His first found him within 207 metres of the peak when his team stopped to help a fellow mountaineer who was left for dead. One year later, Andrew Brash, a University of Calgary alumni, returned to Mt Everest to finish what he had started.
With the Chinese preparing for the impending summer Olympic Games, Andrew Brash noted that the government’s actions hardly reflected the Olympic spirit. Sherchan just 16 days away from his 77th birthday beat the age record set last year by 71-year-old Japanese teacher Katsusuke Yanagisawa.
As he planned for the climb, Sherchan told reporters he wanted to inspire fellow senior citizens. He also said many Nepalese have established records on Mount Everest, so it was only fitting that the record for the oldest climber to reach the summit should also belong to a Nepali. Man from Nepal, 75, oldest person to scale Chomolungma or Mount Everest Bahadur Sherchan returned this week from Nepal after successfully climbing to the summit of the Mount Everest. This season French mountaineer Anthony Loeff is reporting the scales for Mount Everest after reaching the summit of Mont Blanc earlier this year.
The Chinese were flying their airplanes over Chomolungma and had Chinese officials in Kathmandu. Hall was frostbitten and severely disoriented due to altitude sickness. Min Bahadur Sherchan returned a hero to Calgarians. Indeed, the decision to actualize a long-time personal goal left Bahadur Sherchan with some internal uncertainties, he cited the political actions of China and Nepal as providing the greatest adversity he faced on his journey. Nevertheless, he was all too aware of the potential dangers Mt Everest could bring. Certain parts of the climb are more dangerous than others and it is important for climbers to remain focused

Reality of Empty Real Estate
There is no investment in the world as consistently profitable as real estate. However, there is no asset more expensive than empty real estate. It does not long take for a property to make sale or foreclosure necessary when it has consistent substantial negative cash flow. That is the reality of empty real estate. The best way to prevent this possible failure is simply to keep units rented. This is doubly true for smaller properties, as one unit down can easily mean the loss of 25% of income for a 4-plex, 33% for a triplex and 50% reduction of income on a duplex.
Tactics
Many landlords only do the bare minimum to rent empty space. They put a “For Sale” sign up in the yard, and maybe they put an ad in the classifieds. They spend as little money as possible in effort to get the tenancy filled up. I suppose the thought is, “I’m already losing money on this place, why spend more and make it worse?”
If your market is so strong that you can rent empty units within a week or so just by putting up a sign on the lawn, great. For the other 99% of you, keep reading.
The tactic which seems to work best to fill empty units is the time honored practice of bribery. Here are some ideas to get you thinking.
* Bribe your current tenants. Hopefully, you send them a tenant letter with a rent statement every month, if not just send a special tenant letter offering them A new TV, $100 off next month’s rent, or cash if they refer someone to you that signs a lease
* Bribe prospective tenants. You can offer them a DVD Player, one month rent free, or perhaps reduced rent for the first 6 months, maybe $25 off. State the offer in your newspaper ad. Don’t be afraid to pay a little extra for a longer or bolded ad if it means you will rent faster. You can also put such a bribe in a tenant letter. (Example: “Tell your friends we’re having a deal. If someone signs a lease by the end of this month, they’ll get a $50 gift certificate to TGI Friday’s.”)
* Bribe local employers. Offer nearby business a $100 referral fee for pointing employees in your direction.
* Bribe the community. Many libraries, grocery stores and community centers have public bulletin boards where it is appropriate to post things like this. Just check first to make sure it is alright to put such a notice there.
Be creative. If you can offer something to them that other landlords wont, then you will have the competitive edge in your marketplace.
The bottom line
Yes, this is an extra cost. It is, however, worth doing. If you spend $50, $100, or even $200 dollars to get your apartment filled, you get your cash flow back that much more quickly. Costs for an empty apartment add up fast. A $500 dollar apartment vacant for 3 months just cost you $1,500 bucks. If you had spent $300 on a new TV and a classified ad and gotten it filled within a week or two, at the end of those same three months, you would net $1,200. $1,200 in profit instead of a $1,500 loss. Not bad for a 3 minute phone call to the newspaper and a 20 minute drive to the electronics store.

Where is this Going?
Good question. If you are referring to this article, I am somewhat disappointed but if you’re referring to the Internet, we can do business. Most of us have an approximate knowledge of the history behind how and why the Internet was conceived but what we have an even less of an idea about is where is it going. If you haven’t managed to catch one of those documentaries examining the Internet’s past, I won’t waste you’re time by telling you about it when there are probably thousands of websites that can do it more justice than I can in a few lines of text here.
Anyway, back to our question. Where is the Internet going? If we can just continue the analogy of the Internet being a child, it was born in the autumn of 1969 and is now a 36 year old man with more money, more fame, more attention and more admirers than any other person that ever lived. Thankfully the Internet is not a man otherwise it would have an ego even bigger than that of Arnold Schwarzenegger. By the way, he was once asked a serious question “What do you think of gay marriages,” and his answer was “that’s between a man and a woman.”
But jokes aside, we have in fact created a monster that Dr Frankenstein would have been proud of. The Internet touches a very large percentage of the human race. It makes the job of communicating opinions, products, services and a great deal else besides so often so seamless that we cannot help but fall head-over-heals for its mesmerising charm. And yet, behind the faade of colourful pages containing banners, links, images, animations and words, lies an uneasy, almost eerie feeling that we have in fact lost control of this thing we call the Internet.
Have we Lost Control?
Consider this. If, say in five year’s time, it was found that the Internet was causing some serious detriment to human life, could we put a stop to it. I think not. The only precedent that I can think of is the attempt by the Chinese government to sanitise the content to which their people may have access. But, let’s be realistic. It’s almost like trying to stem the Pacific ocean. As long as people use the Internet, it will grow and the more people that use it the faster it will grow. Yes, but grow into what?
Do we Envisage a Happy Ending to the Internet
If we treat it as an invention we can try to predict its future by looking at other inventions that large numbers of people use. Say for example the motor car. The very first one was steam driven and came into being around 1723. That makes it 282 years old. Nowadays, they are everywhere and we couldn’t imagine being without them. As it turns out, it’s not so much the motor car itself that causes us problems (aside from the road accidents) but the exhaust fumes it leaves behind. The trouble with the car is that eventually there will be so many of them, as world population increases, that we shall run out of road space to such an extent that there will be a premium on road usage as opposed to car usage. So I think we can see that the future of the motor car isn’t really that bright.
But there is a great difference between the motor car and the Internet. Like all good inventions, the motor car has one well defined purpose and that is transportation. The Internet, intentionally or otherwise, serves many purposes. E-commerce is but one example. Browsing for information is another function. Entertainment is huge. These purposes in themselves are very large generic entities that branch into a multitude of different facets, all of them purporting to serve the end user.
What I’m trying to get across is that the Internet is not like any other invention. Its purposes are many and each one is a tiny branch upon the countless tentacles emanating from a central mass of major websites that attract the most traffic. If you haven’t already guessed, these are the “good” sides to the internet. What about the sides to it that nobody wants to talk about.
Pornography
There is a statistic that says 90% of all browsing or searching has a connection to or affinity with pornography of one sort or another. We all know this but we don’t really like to talk about it. There is no limit to the depravity that webmasters won’t stoop to in order to feed yet another base desire which is greed. But you may argue that pornography has been with us for a very long time, so why should it worry us now? It’s the method of delivery. If a country wanted to control or censor images of this sort via conventional means, the possible sources could easily be identified, approached and stopped. Television companies, mainstream newspapers and magazines are three examples. It is even possible to curb the purchase of publications by those not of adult age. In addition, there is also the embarrassment factor which may sometimes prevent the prospect from approaching a counter or a till and coming face-to-face with another human being or speaking on the phone to order some illicit cable channel.
I am thinking primarily of the children who make up a large segment of the online population and it is nothing to enter sites that display the most appalling images. And as we all know, the depravity does not stop there. It goes far beyond that for those wishing to pay for services.
Hatred
There are many sites that incite racial, cultural and religious hatred. These do nothing more than fuel people’s prejudices about other people. They are not in the same league as opinion or freedom of speech. If the written word or picture causes tempers to flare and anger to inflame, it has no beneficial effect. On the other hand, if it depicts truth (and we have to be very careful about the facts that led to the truth) it should never be suppressed. These checks and balances, alas, cannot be guaranteed on the Internet. It does not recognise boundaries, taboos and sensitivities because no one can predict the age and background of the visitor.
Illegal Activity
There is of course a plethora of websites and schemes all wanting to scam us out of some amount in return for some idea. No doubt, many thousands fall for these things every day, especially if they are newcomers. Chain letters, pyramid schemes and unsolicited emails are just three examples. Every single aspect of fraudulent activity may be found on the Internet. Happily, we can write articles and visit conscientious websites that genuinely warn people to be aware of such things.
Conclusion
Where is the Internet going? Simple extrapolation shows that the negative sides will grow much faster than the positive ones because there is a lot more of it. This means that come another decade, we could start to see technologies being created to control the Internet perhaps using the United Nations as a means to implement or police the International Internet Community. It will be a pity because, as it is always the case, whenever you take blanket measures to do away with negative activity, there is always damage to the good side as well. It might mean waiting months or years for the vetting process to be finalised before anyone is allowed to start a website. It could be that entire nations maybe disenfranchised from the Internet because they are deemed to be “unsuitable”. These are just some examples of how the Internet might go.
However, we, the users of the Internet can do something about it now. The only way to kill a website is to starve it of visitors. If people were to change their habits and avoid sites that they knew had any of the negative things mentioned above, we could effectively police the Internet ourselves. I have to be honest though and say that given our human nautre, I don’t really hold out much hope of this happening any time soon.
In the meantime, here is a website dedicated to a new book of mine which is a supernatural come science-fiction novel. Please click on http://www.willofdreams.com to visit and learn more about the author and the book. Thank you for your attention.

An important piece for a wedding shower is the menu. When making menu decisions there are many factors to consider. First, at what time will the guests be eating? Second, how many guests will be present. Third, how much time is reserved for eating and what are the physical accommodations? Fourth, are there any special diets that need to be accommodated? Don’t go overboard. After all, the shower should be both entertaining and relaxing for not only the guests but the bride as well.
If most of the guests attending the shower work, then an evening or weekend shower will probably work best. Consider a weeknight for a change of pace. This will give everyone a night out, rather than a weekend day away from their spouses or boyfriends. If the weekend is the only time that will work for you, try to plan your shower early enough in the day for all who must travel to attend.
Every good bridal shower will have at least one great game. Be certain that the guests are introduced to each other as they arrive, one great way to do this is with name tags. Set up the atmosphere with some lighted candles, flowers, and other decor. You really want to be sure that the guests truly enjoy the shower as much as bride to be.
There are many kinds of invitations available; that makes it easy to choose elegant wedding invitations for the guests. There are many options now for bridal showers. You can throw a theme shower, for example, and send unique bridal shower invitations. Usually the bridesmaid will hold the shower. It is up to her to find a location and send out wedding shower invitations to the chosen guests. Often she will cover the costs as well. She should not overdo anything, but provide the bride with a fun time and take some of the stress off her. The guests need to bring the right gift for the couple.

Success is the Blue Bird everybody is chasing, struggling to catch, but only a few people have been able to grab it!
Most probably, you have been one of the hard chasers, extremely busy writing ad copies, articles, press releases, sending them to media outlets and popular publications, striving night and day to promote your business using the most powerful Internet marketing strategies.
You had subscribed to hundreds of safe mailing lists, ezines, newsletters, sent your ads and articles to them regularly, spending your valuable hours and days. But the response has been disappointing.
Then you tried to hire advertising agencies to make the effective e-mail advertising for you. You paid them a lot of money. Finally you made a number of sales. But the results were far from being satisfying. The money you made did not even cover the expenses.
Then you wrote articles, you hired copywriters to write more articles and press releases for you and you sent them out to thousands of media outlets and thousands of popular publications. To your surprise, the profits you earned were not enough to pay the bills. You wonder why!
You have launched several weblogs (blogs), now you’re working hard to place fresh content in your blogs everyday or every other day, while submitting your blogs, comments, content to other blogs, which take a great deal of time, but you have not received one single visitor to your blogs yet. You don’t know why!
You have purchased an aggregator to read the RSS feeds you were receiving, you also bought a software to turn your articles and press releases into XML and RSS formats before sending them to RSS feed providers and distributors, e-zines, newsletters, news portals, blogs/journals, media outlets and relevant publications.
So, you’re spending a lot of money, time and efforts, struggling like mad to market your business, website, blogs using the most powerful Internet marketing strategies, hoping to make your business a success to earn you a comfortable living.
After so much struggle, tears and sweat, are you happy and satisfied with the results you are getting now? No, most probably you are not!
How do I know? I know, because I had been there, too, until I discovered what was missing. Then I also discovered what the solution was. There is one thing you must do; there is one thing you and I and everybody must do to earn more money. Do it now, do it everyday until the end of your life:
READ !!
You are extremely busy submitting your ads, your articles, your press releases night and day, but you do not read other submissions.
You might say you do read some ads and articles when you find time to read. But I’m sure you find time to read only once in a while, because you’re too busy writing ads, articles, press releases and submitting them to millions of places every day. You are an extremely busy marketer.
All other marketers and business owners are too busy to spare time to read. So, eventually you don’t read other marketer’s articles and ads, and they don’t read yours. Or, you all read only once in a while, which is obviously not enough to produce the positive results to make you happy.
Then what’s the use to work so hard to write articles, press releases, ads, RSS feeds and more, and struggle so hard to post them to millions of portals, websites, media and publications, if nobody or only a few people would read them?
It’s a great waste of time, efforts and money! Of course, there are businesses and individuals who earn truck loads of money, but it’s only a small percentage in a crowd of millions of income seekers.
I am sure that the number of big money makers will grow fast when we learn how to play the game abiding by its rules.
We must admit that we need a great number of audience to read our ads, articles and other content in order to receive the great response we expect.
The great number of audience we need to earn more money is composed of you and I and other online business owners and opportunity seekers.
We can earn more money when our ads and content are read by more people who are our potential customers.
So, you and I and all others must read as much articles, ads, press releases, RSS feeds as we can. There is a simple solution for all income seekers to earn more money, which is a one small magic word.
READ !!
Don’t just write and submit, but read, too.
Read and encourage your friends, members, affiliates, associates, customers, potential customers to read!
If you and all other millions of marketers and income seekers spare one our a day to promote their businesses, they must spare another hour to read other marketers’ ads, articles, press releases, RSS feeds, content at websites and blogs.. Reading must be considered as the important part of Internet marketing.
Reading, you get valuable information on profitable marketing strategies, secrets, tips, new income opportunities, you get motivated, learn how to earn more money, how to improve your website, how to advertise to increase number of traffic, your revenues, sales, and much more.
Benefits you will get from reading is unlimited. If all entrepreneurs, marketers and business owners perceive reading as an extremely important part of their marketing program and spare more time for reading others’ ads and articles daily, can you the imagine the insane amount of increase in everybody’s profits and income?
First of all, you should believe that when reading other business owners’ and marketers’ promotional content, you yourself will benefit from this reading as much as the content writer will.
Read and have other marketers read as much as you and they can. This is the solution to get much more of your potential customers read your marketing materials and reach you. Not only you, but other marketers as well would greatly benefit from reading regularly.

INTRODUCTION
To get any business started successfully takes many ingredients. All requirements fall into one of the following four key categories: 1. Desire, 2. Knowledge, 3. Time, and 4. Available funds. This report deals only with the financial requirements of starting a mail order business. Hopefully it will help the reader to evaluate whether he is financially able to embark upon a business venture that will bring about success. It is generally true that it takes substantially less money to get started in many mail order businesses than in a variety of other businesses.
Many a promoter will want you to belive that it is possible to get started successfully for $50, $100, or even $200. However, it is totally false. It does take more than that. How much more depends on many factors which I will try to define as much as is possible here.
Since the mail order business covers a vast number of services and products I would like to define the contents of this report to deal with the selling of information products. This is where my expertise lies. While the same or similar conditions may apply to any number of other mail order businesses, there may however be some differences to selling information products such as books, etc.
The following makes a number of assumptions. The most important ones are:
1. The operator ( or operators) of the new mail order business is employed or has other means of income.. He will not need to derive any profit from his new business for a period of time.. How long will depend on many factors.
2. This is a home based business which has no employees.
3. The business, at the start - until volume reaches $3,000 to $5,000 per month - will utilize the drop shipping services of a wholesale company.
4. Basic office equipment such as desk, file cabinet, computer, etc… are on hand.
A WORD OF CAUTION AT THE START AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO YOU
This is an exciting business and it can be extremely profitable once it reaches a certain momentum. However, like almost all businesses it is a very cost sensitive business.
As you are getting started in planning and setting up your new business think and act with caution when it pertains to any expenditures. This is one of the most difficult things to do since you are probably very enthusiastic and want to do everything today. So you need to learn HOW TO CONTROL YOUR ENTHUSIASM or it is going to cost you lost of extra money.
In this state of enthusiasm we tend to think that there is nothing we can do wrong and since we will be making lots of money in a few months lets get all necessary and often unnecessary supplies and equipment. It would be much better to wait until profits of the business make it possible to acquire what is needed. In the meantime you can make do with less. To be able to do so is a most important quality for the owner of a small to do so is a most important quality for the owner of a small business.

SUMMARY
The combined expenses as listed above total just under $1000. They are based on broad estimates and may vary somewhat by area of the country and individual circumstances. The figures are reflecting a minimum amount. Some individuals may be able to cut expenses further. Since this planning period takes several months the expenses as shown above can be allocated over a period of 4-6 months.
The above figures represent a conservative start. For those who want to get started more aggressively expenses would be higher. While many of the basic start-up costs would be the same the expenses that would increase would primarily deal with additional advertising, printing and postage expenses. By how much would largely be an individual decision.
Since most new businesses fail because of lack of funds, it would be advisable for an individual who does not have the necessary funds to get started to wait until he does. In addition to the basic start-up expenses an individual should also consider that most businesses will loose money for several months and sometimes much longer than that. Unfortunately no matter how well you plan, circumstances often change and we must make allowances for those eventualities.
